The Roman Baths in Bath, England, are ancient thermal baths dating back to Roman times. Built around 60-70 AD, these baths were used for public bathing until the end of Roman rule in Britain. The site includes the Sacred Spring, Roman Temple, Bath House, and a museum with artifacts from Aquae Sulis. Visitors can explore the baths and museum but can't take a dip in the water. The hot spring water, sourced from the Mendip Hills, reaches temperatures of 69-96°C and is rich in minerals. Despite not being used for bathing today, the Roman Baths remain a popular tourist attraction, drawing over 1.3 million visitors annually. Your ticket includes an audio guide, plus a specific one just for kids! Be sure to book in advance.
