How much should you expect to spend?
Spain can be very affordable or luxurious, depending on where you go. Madrid and Barcelona tend to be more expensive, especially in tourist hotspots. In general, you’ll find that accommodation is cheaper than in other European capitals, with options ranging from budget hostels to luxury hotels. Meals at a mid-range restaurant will cost around €15-25 per person, but you can eat cheaply with tapas or in smaller towns. Spain is also home to some of the best wines in the world, with many options available at affordable prices.
