Planning your trip to iceland is hard, planning it from home and making sure we are not going to miss anything worth seeing is even harder. Thanks to this guide I was able to ensure we stopped everywhere that was worth it and little tips and descriptions form Jan helped us figure out what was worth the extra trip and what wasn't.

Some spots that Jan added felt so private, we were either almost alone or completely alone, we would not get to experience that if not this guide.

Do not travel without it honestly, massive help

When planning for travel, there is only so much you can learn from YouTube, TikTok, and Trip Advisor. You’ll miss the small shops, local favorites, and hidden hikes. You need the perspective of someone who has lived in Iceland for an extended period of time — and that’s exactly what this map gives you.

We were so grateful for Jan’s Guide! It was easy to pick a few things to do, then fill in the gaps using the Guide. Or, plan the entire day using the Guide. It was really convenient and allowed us to be flexible.

Don't travel to Iceland without this app. It makes finding locations super easy. The huge thing about the app is that there are images for all the locations. This is huge as learning and pronouncing the locations is difficult. Also you can create a favourites list of places you want to go. Then when you are in the area it only shows your favourites in that areas. Also the app has navigation installed right in it so you can easly get to your locatoin.

Although my partner and I had our flights to Iceland booked several months in advance, we didn’t have much of a plan even a week before departure. Thanks to Jan, we managed to put together an amazing tour around Iceland (even at the last minute), and it was absolutely worth it! We squeezed the most out of our week and saw an incredible number of stunning places. It wasn’t just about natural wonders— Jan also recommended some great cafes and relaxing spots. Jan is an amazing person, always kind and attentive, and he knew exactly what to suggest to tailor the experience to our preferences. The guide focuses not only on the most famous tourist places to visit, but also to many hidden gems of Iceland, extraordinary local experiences in gastronomy and all leisure time activities one can imagine.
