Small but powerful waterfall

Waterfall

Message from Jan In Iceland

Waterfall located between the towns of Selfoss and Hella. Despite not being very tall, it boasts an impressive water flow of 360 m³ per second, making it one of the most powerful waterfalls. It's a popular spot for salmon fishing in the summer, so if you're into fishing or just want to witness the raw power of nature, Urriðafoss is definitely worth a visit on your Icelandic road trip!

In my opinion it can be skipped if you're short on time, but it is very close to the main road so it might be worth a quick stop for some photos.
