Cascade Canyon is a picturesque canyon located in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. Formed by glaciers that retreated around 15,000 years ago, the canyon boasts polished glacial erratics, hanging cirques, and stunning waterfalls like Hidden Falls. Popular with tourists, the Cascade Canyon Trail offers hikers a scenic adventure through the U-shaped canyon, with options to explore Lake Solitude or Hurricane Pass.
There are multiple way to reach Cascade Canyon, the most popular is to take the $20 Jenny Lake ferry boat from the Jenny Lake Visitors center then begin your hike up to Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point and continue to Cascade Canyon.
Our favorite way to get there is to park at String Lake and hike along Jenny Lake to Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point, and into the canyon.
The hike to inspiration point is crowded and challenging but after reaching the lookout, the hike back into the canyon is mostly flat and one of the best places to see wildlife (but keep a safe distance).
