The combination of panoramic views of Reykjavik, interactive exhibitions, and a rotating restaurant at the top of the building makes this one the coolest places to hang out.

Because Perlan (The Pearl) is located on a hill overlooking Reykjavik, you breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the surrounding landscape. You can enjoy these views from the building's observation deck or while enjoying a meal at the revolving restaurant.

One of my favorite interactive exhibits is their indoor ICE CAVE! Yes, they have an ice cave that people can explore all year long. There is also exhibitions about Icelandic glaciers, volcanos, puffins and other bird life, and sea creatures. I especially love their theater with the northern lights show. If you come during summer, there is no way of seeing the northern lights except if you come here.

Fun fact – this building sits on top of 6 huge water tanks that can keep up to five million liters (1,320,860.262 gallons) of water with a volume of 5,000 cubic meters (176,573.3 cubic feet).
