Minilik Ethiopian restaurant offers a truly authentic Ethiopian dining experience in the town of Flúðir, a charming small town in southern Iceland, known for its hot springs and natural beauty.

The menu features a variety of traditional dishes such as injera (a sourdough flatbread), doro w’et (spicy chicken stew), kitfo (spiced minced beef), and vegetarian dishes.

There is a lovely couple that runs Minilik. I felt very welcomed when I arrived and they are happy to answer any questions you may have about the menu or Ethiopian culture in general.

What I especially love is that over 90% of the restaurant is decorated with art, statues, and more that were brought over from Ethiopia. The restaurant prides itself on using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients, including spices imported from Ethiopia and fresh food in Iceland.

Eating at any Ethiopian restaurant is not just about the food, but also the unique dining experience. Ethiopian cuisine is typically eaten with your hands, using the injera bread to scoop up the delicious stews and sauces. This makes for a fun and interactive meal that is sure to be memorable.
