If you ever wanted to stay in a shipping container in the woods, nows your chance!
This super cute cabin is located down a dirt road on 10 private acres in the Catskills. Staying here is kind of like camping, except you most of the luxuries of home, including a comfortable queen size sofa bed with organic linens.
You'll have ultra spotty cell phone service and no power, except for a jackery box that powers the camping lights and charges your phone.
What we loved most about our stay was getting to disconnect and bask in the silence and serenity of the forest. We even woke up to a few curious deer outside our window!
Nearby towns are Woodstock, Kingston, and Saugerties. While yo'ure in Saugerties, check out Miss Lucy's or Good Night Restaurant for dinner and Love Bites Cafe for breakfast!
The best hikes nearby are Kaaterskill Falls, Huckleberry Point, and South Lakes.
I will say that the weirdest thing about this cabin is having to empty your own "compost" toilet, so just be prepared for that.
*This cabin is one of several on the property, so it's worth checking out those options if this one is booked out
