This is a moderate hike that leads to a beautiful swimming hole and waterfalls.
The trail is mostly rocky and climbs pretty consistently until you reach the falls, with a few flat spots throughout. The hike itself is nothing to write home about until you reach the falls, which are so dreamy - especially in the summer! You can complete this hike in about 2 hours, but I recommend making a half day of it so you can take your time and enjoy the falls.
Pack your bathing suit, some snacks, and trekking poles to help with balance on slippery rocks. Don't forget to wear proper hiking boots (ideally ones that are waterproof, because you'll get wet)
Rattlesnakes are known to frequent this area, so watch your step and keep your hands away from fallen logs and rock crevices.
To get here, follow directions to 576 Upper Cherrytown Road. Follow Upper Cherrytown Road for 3.2 miles until you see the DEC parking area on the right.
