Restaurant
1-2h
Located in the town of Bolton Landing on scenic Lake George in Upstate New York. The restaurant is open seasonally from April - October and serves salad, sandwiches, steak, and pasta dishes.
The Algonquin has become one of the top-visited restaurants in the area because of it's gorgeous views of Buck Mountain and Sweet Briar Island in Lake George from the outdoor deck.
They're only open for lunch and dinner, so if you are a photographer (or just someone who wants dinner with a view), you'll want to head to this restaurant around sunset to snap the best photos from the docks.
Note that Algonquin has an open seating policy and reservations aren't accepted here. For those reasons, things can get super busy around the dinner rush so you'll want to time your visit around peak hours in order to get the best seat on the deck.
The food is honestly just okay (not bad - just average, in my opinion) and I wouldn't recommend driving out of your way to come here if you're a foodie. I'd recommend heading to Chateau on the Lake instead.
