Mount MacFarlane is a stunning summer hike located in Southwest British Columbia. It's a challenging climb that gains 1,900m of elevation over its 18.5km trail, making it one of the steepest hikes in the region. But all that effort is rewarded with incredible panoramic views from the summit, as well as an amazing sapphire blue Upper Pierce Lake. Along the way, there are moderate technical sections, like brief chain use and a rocky ridge walk to the summit, but nothing an experienced hiker can't handle. Start your day early for a chance to enjoy the awe-inspiring beauty on this rewarding hike up Mount MacFarlane.
