On the way to the castle over the Powder Bridge, there are several amazing stops and cosy cafes with beautiful views.
The Powder Bridge, also known as Prašný Most, is a historic gateway at Prague Castle that leads to the Royal Garden. Built in 1540, this bridge spans the Stag Moat and offers a picturesque entrance to the garden. It's like stepping back in time to the Renaissance era with its stunning architecture and lush surroundings. Don't miss the Ball-Game House and other Renaissance structures that add charm to this hidden gem in Prague.
Originally, Powder Bridge was part of the Royal Route, the coronation path of Czech kings and queens. This route started from the Old Town and led all the way to St. Vitus Cathedral, with the bridge playing a crucial role in the ceremonial procession.
