According to legend, it is the oldest vineyard in Bohemia, where the patron saint of the Czech lands, Prince Wenceslas, used to cultivate the "Lord's vineyard". The restored vineyard was opened to visitors of Prague Castle in the year that marked the 1100th anniversary of the birth of St. Wenceslas.
