Walking along the promenade is a must for anyone visiting Split of course! I'd recommend you go in the early evening, just after sunset. That is when the locals start going out as well and you can just sit on one of the benches and watch the Dalmatians parading by, meeting each other, chatting and playing the "see and be seen" game.
