You will most likely come here because this place is in literally every guide about Cape Town. You might think: Is it worth it? But let me tell you, it's kinda cool to visit the oldest working harbour in the Southern Hemisphere. With Table Mountain as its backdrop, the V&A waterfront welcomes tourists but you'll see that locals come here as well to stroll along the harbour, listen to the street musicians or have a drink in one of the bars.

Here are a few things you can do/visit at the V&A waterfront:

  • Have a drink at the Cause Effect Cocktail Kitchen

  • Visit The Lounge at The Table Bay hotel for excellent cocktails

  • Get a snack with harbour views at Quay Four Restaurant

  • Cross the Clocktower Bridge and watch the sea lions

  • Venture out further and actually stroll along the Marina Two Quay Street
