Because of the rocks surrounding it, this beach is almost wind-free (a winner in Cape Town, trust me!) and perfect to just sit and stare at the ocean, recharge and feel the power of the waves. Families come here as well to explore and swim in the rock and tidal pools that are a bit warmer than the icy Atlantic (still too cold for me though haha). Saunders Rock Beach is even equipped with toilets (at nearby Queen's Beach) and showers, plus nearby parking. And it's a perfect sunset spot too.
