Hands down one of the most authentic Icelandic experiences you can have in Iceland. You really feel like you are going back in time in the Icelandic farm culture.

The accommodation is an old farmhouse that is left almost exactly as it was when the last Icelandic family lived there. There a few private rooms as well as a long common room where a whole family used to sleep. They also build a new building but every building is exactly like the old farm house, including the creaking floorboards.

There is a really great exhibition to learn about how they lived back in the day and these stories are FASCINATING. You really are just walking through the house, supply sheds, and spa of exactly how they lived back in the day (and honestly it wasn't even that long ago)

There is even a spa with a hot tub, cold tub, sauna and relaxation room.

The dinner and breakfast is SO Icelandic and delicious. LOVE the lamb dinner. It feels like eating in an Icelandic Grandma's Kitchen.

This is truly the most unique and authentic stay in Iceland! Highly recommend if you're up for a culture exchange

Cool hikes in the area too! Make sure you walk to the sheep rope bridge thing. Staff is also AWESOME. Truly can't say enough good things about this place!
