The Nuuk Art Museum houses around 250 works, including paintings, sculptures, and photographs made from materials like bone, wood, and soapstone. Its collection spans both historical pieces by European artists who lived in Greenland, such as Christine Deichmann and J.E.C. Rasmussen, and contemporary works by Greenlandic artists like Pia Arke and Miki Jacobsen. The museum explores how Greenland has been depicted by outsiders and how local artists view their homeland.

Housed in a former Adventist church, the museum opened in 2005 thanks to a donation from Svend Junge and Helene Junge Pedersen. It is managed by the Municipality of Sermersooq and hosts regular events, including exhibitions, art walks, and cultural celebrations, offering a unique way to experience Greenlandic art.
