What you’ll do

The Coral Coast at its best in 20 days! This itinerary is for the ones looking to experience the Coral Coast at its fullest, from the stunning reef, the sunkissed beaches and spectacular outback views. The Coral coast has it all 🌊

In this itinerary you will find all the best spots along the coast, from snorkelling spots, to free and beach campgrounds, to cool stays and epic outback views, along with our personal travel and photo tips and hacks.

Please note that many spots require a WA National Park Pass and we highly recommend getting an annual all parks pass as it's only 120$ and it covers the whole of WA while daily passes are 15$ a day.

Very important: this itinerary includes some spots only reachable by 4WD, if you have a normal car make sure to check the description of the spot to see if it's suitable before going 🚙

Are you ready to find out what the Coral Coast has to offer?

Day 1 starts in the lovely town of Exmouth.

We loved it here so much and it will always have a special place in our hearts. A stroll through town is highly recommended, there are heaps of cute local shops and Reef Cafe is a great spot to have breakfast or brunch, while Whalebone Brewery is great in the evening.

We highly recommend hiring a kayak if you like snorkelling and free diving (link to the shop here: https://www.facebook.com/ExmouthBoatHire/) and heading out at Bundegi Beach! The kayak trail is very clear once you get to the beach 🛶

Omeo wreck is also worth a look if you are on the way and if you are a strong swimmer you can definitely go snorkelling here, just beware of strong currents.

Vlamingh head lighthouse is our to go for sunset, you'll have the best views over the ocean! 🌅

You can decide to spend the night at one of the campgrounds in town but they are pricey (most convenient one in our opinion is RAC) or you can drive in the National Park and stay at one of the campgrounds there which are still paid but less expensive.
