This is the ultimate checklist for you to pack properly for your trips around Western Australia!

SET UP:

Most places require a bit of 4WDing and camping so we'll list basic equipment and set up in case you are travelling with your own car\van and want to make sure you have everything you need:

- spare tyres (better have two if you plan on doing the Gibb)

- air compressor (you'll need it to pump your tyres after decreasing the pressure for soft sand and 4WDing)

- send recovery boards

- tyre repair kit

- fire estinguisher

- engine oil and coolant

- fuel jerry cans

- drinking water tanks

- tool kit

- spare car battery or jumpstarter

- first aid kit

- physical map or sat phone (no reception in most places especially up north)

- portable fridge (there's no power available in most NP and free camps)

- camping shower

- headlamps

- kitchenware

- camping table and chairs

- big knife (if you need to cut wood for a campfire)

- strings and pins (to hang your clothes after washing)

- personal items like clothing, toiletries ecc

- camera gear if you are passionate like we are

- sunscreen!

- food

CLOTHING:

Western Australia weather is very different depending on the zone you are travelling!

- The North has a dry and a wet season and it's usually very hot all year around.

- The South has all 4 seasons so summer is nice and warm while winter can be very cold and windy so pack considering this.

- Pack a whole lot of sunscreen regardless, make sure it's reef safe!

- For camping especially when you shower in the wild, use ecological soaps or even better soap bars and try to be as mindful as possible about the envronment

- if you plan on snorkelling pack your own fins and goggles, hiring them everytime is unconvenient and expensive.
