Message from Maria Smolenskaya

Freedom Square is an iconic landmark located in the heart of Tbilisi, Georgia. With a rich and vibrant history, it has served as a central hub of culture and entertainment for many years. It was once known as Lenin Square during Soviet times, with a statue of Lenin positioned in the center. However, following independence in 1991, the statue was removed and replaced with a golden statue of St George slaying a dragon. Home to several important landmarks, Freedom Square provides visitors with plenty of activities to explore including cafes, restaurants, shops, and historical sites like the Georgian National Museum and the Georgian Parliament. The nearby Lado Gudiashvili Square and Orbeliani Square are also popular attractions. Whether visitors decide to take a leisurely stroll or explore the fascinating architecture on offer, Freedom Square is sure to captivate them with its unique atmosphere.
