Located in the south-east of Osaka it is renowned for its 5-story pagoda, four large gates, and a 13th century stone torii gate which has been designated a National Treasure. The temple grounds are free to enter with visitors able to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, stroll around Gokuraku Jodo no Niwa – an ancient stroll garden which also contains cherry blossom trees - and pray to the Four Heavenly Kings or the Tokugawa funerary tablets.
