Gljúfrabúi Waterfall, tucked away in the beautiful landscape of South Iceland, is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Located at Hamragarðar, less than a kilometer from the more popular Seljalandsfoss waterfall, this 40 metre (131 feet) tall beauty is unmissable with its mossy walls, silver mist and black lava. Those brave enough to wade through its waters will find themselves in a small space, where the falls fall before a great boulder which can be climbed for some stunning photos. On sunny days, rainbows curve through the water's mist, creating an almost magical atmosphere. For travelers wanting to sample the best of South Iceland's natural beauty, a visit to Gljufrabui is a must.
