Landmannalaugar is an area in Iceland that is famous for its colorful rhyolite mountains and amazing day hikes. Geothermal hot springs, lava fields, and unique hiking trails make this a popular destination for adventurous travelers. Visitors can take their pick from a variety of short and easy trails, or tougher climbs up ancient volcanos with stunning panoramic views of the region. The People’s Pool is a great place to relax and soak in the natural thermal springs, while world-renowned Laugavegur Trail offers a multi-day adventure. Whether you choose to explore on your own or join a tour, Landmannalaugar is sure to be an unforgettable experience.

Brennisteinsalda is 855m. Its colors are incredible: red iron, yellow sulphides, blue and black lava and green lichens.

The Frostastaðavatn lake is to be discovered. Right next to it, you have a magnificent volcano named Stutur Crater.

There is only one campin in the area because wild camping is prohibited. Landmannalaugar campsite. Landmannalaugar is mostly visited in summer and is only accessible by 4x4 vehicle.
