Glaumbær Farm & Museum is a historic site located in Skagafjörður, North Iceland. As the oldest farm in Iceland, Glaumbær was founded in 874 and contains 13 buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. The turf house is an important reminder of past lives in Iceland and gives visitors insight into how people lived during that time. On this same site, there are two timber houses called Gilsstoeft and Áshús, which house a museum store and exhibition dedicated to housekeeping in early 20th century life. Finally, there are Viking ruins – including a 30-meter-long longhouse – from the 11th century. Visit Glaumbær for a chance to travel back in time, explore Icelandic history and marvel at its incredible artifacts.

it is located along road 75.
