This marvelous beach also hides a tragic story within its rocks: the murders of John Thorgrímsson and Gudrún Egilsdóttir in 1800, at a nearby farm called Sjöundá. From road 62, take road 612 then only with a 4x4 the 614 for 15 min and you will arrive at the beach car park
