Garðar BA 64 is an incredible piece of maritime history, nestled in Skápadalur Valley in Iceland. Launched in 1912, the ship was a state-of-the-art whaling vessel and was equipped with powerful steam and sail engines. After decades of service, the ship became unsafe for use and was beached rather than scuttled in 1981. Today, it remains there as a captivating ruin, drawing photographers and adventurers alike from near and far. Rusting and slowly falling apart, the Garðar BA 64 offers visitors a fantastic view of history and scenic Icelandic landscape all in one place.
