Hraunhafnartangi lighthouse is the northernmost landmark in Iceland, located about ten kilometres northwest of the northernmost town in Iceland, Raufarhöfn. This iconic square concrete tower stands 19 metres tall and is painted white. It features a red lantern atop it, making it easily visible. Its unique light characteristic changes between a long or short flash every 30 seconds, with the color changing based on which direction it is being viewed from. Hraunhafnartangui lighthouse makes a great spot for exploring and appreciating the scenic views of its surrounding area.
