Barra de Guaratiba is a chill neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, known for its beachy vibes and seafood scene. Located about 56 km from downtown Rio, it's surrounded by mangroves and lush rainforest-covered mountains.

This area is known as a great spot for Stand Up Paddling because the water here is very calm. After Barra de Guaratiba, there are thousands of kilometers of protected area that belongs to the Navy, so it is a very calm place to visit.
