Vietri sul Mare is a charming seaside town located on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. With its picturesque seventeen mile coastline and stunning views of the sapphire Mediterranean Sea, Vietri Sul Mare has something to offer everyone. It is a great place to find delicious seafood, take part in creative festivals, enjoy outdoor activities such as biking and scuba diving, and explore the many churches, museums, boutiques, and ceramic shops. The locals are kind and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to soak up the warm Southern Italian atmosphere.
Vietri sul Mare is right next to Salerno and it's easily reachable via train. It's less popular than other parts of the Amalfi Coast like Amalfi or Positano, but it's a truly unmissable gem. The town is renowned for its decorative ceramics and colorful tiles, often featuring traditional designs and vibrant patterns. Local artisans produce a variety of items, including plates, vases, tiles, and art pieces, contributing to making. Vietri sul Mare a significant center for ceramic craftsmanship in the region. A perfect souvenir would be something traditional like this, for instance I bough a whole set of plates that are still my favourite :)
