Vernazza is a beautiful town and comune located on the northwest coast of Italy in the wonders of Liguria. It is famously one of the five towns that make up the Cinque Terre region, where visitors can explore its history dating back to its fortification from the 1080s. Home to one of the most picturesque harbours on the Italian Riviera, the port offers an open view of the village's elegant houses and towers. Accompanied by its indigenous wine, Vernaccia, it is no surprise that Vernazza is part of the I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy") association. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the hillside vineyards and coast, take relaxing strolls with the Stations of the Cross, treat themselves to local cuisine, or explore some of the artifacts from numerous churches and monuments that dot the town.
