The Santuario di San Bernardino alle Ossa is a striking church in Milan, Italy. This Mannerist style building is best known for its unique ossuary chapel, where visitors can find numerous human skulls and bones adorning the walls and vaults. Dating back to 1210, this church has been home to a variety of renovations since first being constructed. The interior also boasts an incredible octagonal design with Baroque decorations, giving the chapel an ancient and mysterious feel. Lastly, John V of Portugal was so taken by this chapel that he built a similar one near Lisbon in 1738. Visiting the Santuario di San Bernardino alle Ossa is a truly magical experience, full of history and mystery.

A must-see and fascinating place in Milan, the perfect spot for those who want to discover more hidden and unique corners of the city.
