Message from Francesco Meola

The Roman Imperial Palace of Massimiano is a place that not many tourists know about. It's located near Corso Magenta.

Emperor Massimiano made Milan capital of the Western Roman Empire in the 3rd century and built a grand imperial palace. It served as a residence, administrative centre and military quarters, featuring courtyards and grand halls.

All that's left of the palace are some ruins, mosaic floors and heated rooms.

Head to Via Brisa, if you want to see this part of Milan Roman's past.
