Picturesque village in Ischia

Message from Francesco Meola

Sant'Angelo is a picturesque village located on the island of Ischia. It's one of the best places to visit on the island and a highly recommend to visit.

The village is dominated by a distinctive rock formation that juts into the sea. Sant'Angelo features narrow streets, white and sometimes colourful houses and it's almost entirely car free. I loved the fact that it has two beaches that are divided only by a small piece of land.

Sant'Angelo is easily reachable with public transport, which by the way work really well in Ischia and are almost always on time. If you stay in Ischia Porto or Forio, take the bus either Linea 1 or Linea CS (the bus that goes on the left side of the island).

Sant'Angelo was one of my favourite parts of Ischia. I was a bit unlucky with the weather, but that's a great reason to come back to explore it when the sun is shining :)
