The Path of the Lemons (or Sentiero dei Limoni) is a charming hiking trail on the Amalfi Coast that winds between the towns of Maiori and Minori. This picturesque path offers stunning views, fragrant lemon groves, and a glimpse into the area's history. Perfect for families and nature lovers, it's an easy yet rewarding walk through terraced landscapes filled with the scent of traditional Amalfi lemons.

You can start the hike in either Minori or Maiori, I started mine in Maiori. There are about 400 steps to do right away and the path is mostly flat and quite and enjoyable walk.

From Maiori, you start to get an amazing view of the town once you are on top. A stunning glimpse over the coast :) Then continue on the path and you'll be immersed in a stunning landscape. You'll spot some lemon groves and find some locals selling lemons (you just have to phone at their number, but I'm unsure about the prices).

I stopped at Agricola Ruocco's, they sell all sorts of lemon based treats. I tried the granita, which is honestly the best I've ever had in my life. Also the lemonade was very tasty, but take either the granita or the sorbetto, you won't regret it.

The best view can be enjoyed, in my opinion, from Belvedere Mortella. The view over Minori is priceless! Such a great spot.

A few things to know before doing this walk:

  • It's quite short 3,6 km or 2,2 miles. It took about a couple of hours, considering I also stopped at Agricola Ruocco's and several times to take a lot of pictures.

  • The heat is unbearable, I went in August and it was so hot! The path is mostly exposed to the sun, so bring a hat and a large bottle of water with you. There are water fountains where the water is drinkable, but they are only located close to Maiori and Minori. Along the path there aren't any.

  • Aside from the 400 initial steps, it's quite an easy walk to do. Personally, it's one of the best thing I did in the coast. Highly recommended! And remember to stop for that granita ahah
