The starting point of the hike is Braunwald. Accessible by the Braunwald funicular from Linthal railway station. From the mountain station follow the signposts in the direction of Oberblegisee.
From the Bächialp, the route leads a little uphill to the Oberblegisee. The deep blue Oberblegisee, once formed by a glacial moraine, is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Switzerland. Here you will find magnificent alpine flora and wild mountain streams. A natural spectacle! Because of its unexplored outlet, the mountain lake exudes a lot of mysticism. A wonderful place for a picnic and a swim.
From the Oberblegi lake, follow the path down via Oberblegi Unterstafel to the fork at Ebnet, where you branch off to the left and reach the Brunnenberg mountain station via Bösbächi Unterstafel. The cable car then takes you comfortably down to Luchsingen, where you have a train connection.
Photography Tips: Beside the fantastic reflection views when you arrive it is also nice to walk a little higher up on the right side where you can enjoy the panorama and get some nice shots too
Distance 9.1km Duration: 2:50h Ascent 409m Descent 565m
