This little waterfall is such a gem so close to Appenzell that you should not miss it out! They are called Thur Waterfalls and easy accessible for families an non-hikers.

It is an impressive, two-stage water cascade of one of the source rivers of the Thur, which plunges spectacularly 23 metres into the depths. The Thur Falls are embedded in an enchanting landscape that is best explored on foot. If you and your family have a soft spot for unspoilt, often somewhat wild nature, then you should definitely pay a visit to the Thur Falls.
