The Moskenes ferry terminal, located at the southern tip of the Lofoten Islands, serves as a key connection point for travelers arriving from Bodø. There are two ferry routes to choose from:
Bodø to Moskenes – The direct and most popular route, offering a quick and scenic journey across the Vestfjorden.
Bodø to Værøy to Moskenes – This route takes you on a detour via the beautiful islands of Værøy, providing a unique experience with additional island views before reaching Moskenes.
Important note: The trip to and from the islands of Værøy and Røst is free of charge. However, there is a fare for vehicles traveling between Bodø and Moskenes.
During the high season, ferry tickets can sell out quickly, so it's highly recommended to book your tickets in advance. If you don't, you might find yourself waiting for several hours at the harbor as ferries often become fully booked. Be sure to secure your spot early to avoid long waits and enjoy your journey to Lofoten without the stress!
