The Faro de José Ignacio, also known as the José Ignacio Lighthouse, is a charming lighthouse located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in José Ignacio, Uruguay. It was built back in 1877 and has been guiding ships ever since. This lighthouse is perched on a rocky cape, surrounded by treacherous reefs that pose a danger to navigation. With its white and red striped dome and three white rings on the tower, it stands tall at 25 meters high. The lighthouse emits a bright white flash every 2 seconds, helping sailors find their way through the darkness. It's not just a functional structure, but also a picturesque landmark that adds character to the beautiful coastal landscape. So, if you're ever in the area, don't forget to pay a visit to this historic beacon of light!
