Playa Ventanas is a picturesque beach with interesting caves. You can easily spend your day swimming, boogie boarding, or exploring the caves at low tide.
Playa Ventanas, located in the southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica between Uvita and Ojochal, is a beautiful picture-perfect beach with lush green mountains as its backdrop. The beach is marked by a wide row of palm trees providing ample shade and a small stream that divides it halfway down. Playa Ventanas's most renowned attraction is its two impressive caves at the northern end, which can be explored at low tide and features enchanting walls dripping with water. Visitors can enjoy swimming, wading or boogie boarding on soft tan sand during low and mid tide, while those looking to get a taste of the local culture will find plenty of vendors selling food, drinks and shaved ice treats, making Sundays and holidays particularly festive. Other activities available include birdwatching and wildlife viewing at the cave opening, or simply relaxing under the palm trees!
