Built as a summer home in 1929, this grand castle on Emerald Bay is considered one of the finest examples of Scandinavian architecture in the Western Hemisphere.

Vikingsholm is a spectacular 38-room mansion located on the shores of Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe. It was originally built in 1929 by Lora Josephine Knight as a summer home, and has since become one of the finest examples of Scandinavian architecture in North America. Visitors to this stunning estate can explore each elegant room, while also taking in the natural beauty of the Emerald Bay as they enjoy breathtaking views of the lake and nearby mountain landscape. Norse mythology-inspired artifacts and a meticulously manicured garden further add to the enchantment of this historic building, creating a unique experience for visitors that is sure to be remembered.
