On a clear day, the reflection of Mount Taranaki in Lake Mangamahoe is pretty incredible. Even when I was there and the weather wasn’t the best, with the wind messing with the lake a bit, it was still a really peaceful and nature-filled spot to stop by. The access is pretty easy, with three main viewpoints to check out. You just drive to the end of Lake Mangamahoe Road and then walk up the hill to the best spot for a view. It’s a short walk, and the view is nice, especially if you’re in the area already. Definitely worth the visit if you're looking for a chill spot to enjoy the outdoors.
