bericht van Kieran - Exploring Scotland

The Alloway Auld Kirk is a 16th-century ruin in Alloway, Scotland, famous for its role in Robert Burns' poem "Tam o' Shanter." It's where Burns' father is buried, along with other family members and notable figures like Lord Alloway. Burns even made a snuffbox from wood taken from the kirk's rafters as a gift for a friend. After restoration work, the kirk and graveyard reopened to the public in 2008. So, if you're into history, poetry, or just exploring cool old ruins, this place is definitely worth checking out!
