Battersea Power Station is a massive decommissioned coal-fired power station on the South Bank of the River Thames. Built in two stages between the 1930s and 1950s, it's famous for its iconic four-chimney structure and Art Deco interior. After being empty for years, plans to redevelop the site finally took off in 2012 with Malaysian investors stepping in. Now, the building houses residential spaces, offices, shops, and more, with the main Power Station opening to the public in 2022. It's become a place of high end shopping, great food spots and a unique atmosphere. There are some fabulous things to do here too, like visiting Joia restaurant on the rooftop with it's own outdoor pool, as well as going up Lift 109 (to the top of one of the chimneys) to see a unique 360 view of the London skyline!
