Located in the picturesque Arashiyama area, this park offers a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with Japanese Macaques, also known as snow monkeys. Visitors can feed these adorable creatures (with food from the park), enjoy a leisurely hike with stunning views, and even catch a glimpse of baby monkeys playing around! It's a wild experience that's both exciting and heartwarming, perfect for a fun day out in Kyoto.

TIPS

  • Unless you're visiting via a guided tour, you can buy tickets for 600 yen (by cash only). Its free for <3 yrs old and children <16 yrs can enter for 300 yen.

  • Its a steep 30min walk up so consider your physical abilities for this visit and wear comfy shoes

  • Dont feed the monkeys any food except the 50yen per pack food they provide at the park
