Viðey is an island located off the coast of Reykjavík, Iceland. It is the largest island in the Kollafjörður bay and is home to a variety of wildlife, including seabirds, seals, and Arctic foxes. The island is also home to a number of historical sites, including a 12th century monastery, a lighthouse, and a sculpture park. Viðey is a popular tourist destination, offering visitors stunning views of the surrounding landscape and a chance to explore its unique history.

Furthermore, the Imagine Peace Tower is a symbol in memory of John Lennon made by his wife Yoko Ono. This light statue is enlightened every year between 9th October and 8th December. The birth- and death date of John.

You can reach Viðey by taking the ferry. The prices vary due to the seasons. In main season one adult pays 2,100 ISK.
