Airbnb Like a local

A lot of people are excited about staying in an Airbnb. It is super cool to stay in someones apartment, walking the neighborhood as if you were a local living there. Enjoying a breakfast from your own kitchen. It all sounds amazing, but be aware Airbnb has strict rules for home owners.

Starting in 2023 the City of New York will ask all home owners to register before hosting on Airbnb. There are some strict rules to take into account. Long term stays (longer than 30 days) are perfectly fine, but short term stays do have some strict rules. For example; renting out an apartment short term without the owner not being present is strictly prohibited. Fines for the host can go up to $5000.

So always check the details with your host.

Hotels in Brooklyn

There are many great hotels in Brooklyn. A good start would be to know what area you want to stay. If you want a quick connection with Manhattan, you can best choose for a hotel near the East River, such as Downtown Brooklyn and surrouning areas , Williamsburg or Greenpoint.

Do you find a good deal on internet?

Always look up the reviews. Check the price value.

I always advise to use Google Street view and check out the surrounding neighborhood.

On Google you can also check the nearest subway station. It would be nice to have one around!
