A fantastic peak with excellent skiing on the way down. It is relatively easy to ascend and does not have overly steep terrain.

Parking & Access

You can park your car at Dale, but it’s advisable to check with the landowners about parking and where to leave your vehicle.

Route Description

From Dale, follow the summer trail up to Storvannet, which you will cross. Then, continue through the sparse forest heading northeast. Be careful to avoid avalanche terrain on the south side of Litjetussen. Once you can see Bjarkøya in the fjord beyond, turn northwest and follow the slope upwards toward the summit.

It's best to avoid the steep terrain just before the top. You can do this by ascending via the ridge from the south. On certain days, ski crampons may be useful.

Skiing & Terrain

The descent is around 20–30 degrees, with the upper section occasionally exceeding 30 degrees. An avalanche safety course is recommended, and thorough assessments should be made based on the avalanche forecast at varsom.no, as well as personal evaluations along the way.
