Hiking Guide: Gangsåstoppen

Starting Point
The hike begins at the parking lot at the end of Toppenveien, located in a wooded area.
Directions to the Parking Lot
From Harstad city center, follow the Rv83 south to the roundabout at Kanebogen.
Take a left at the roundabout, and another left at the next roundabout by the Shell gas station.
Follow Rødbergveien past the gas station, then turn right into Gamle Stangnesvei at the second intersection.
Take the first left into Toppenveien and follow it to the end, where you'll find a parking area.
Trail Description
From the parking lot, head up the staircase to the marked trail. The path to the top of Gangsåstoppen is very clear and easy to follow, winding gently uphill.
Highlights of the Hike
Along the way, there are several viewpoints overlooking Harstad and its surroundings.
At the summit, you'll enjoy a stunning 360-degree view of the area, including the city, the sea, and the mountains.
The summit also features a large gapahuk (a traditional Norwegian shelter), several picnic tables, and a telescope for a closer look at the beautiful scenery.
