The Topography of Terror in Berlin is a history museum and memorial that looks at the Nazi's reign of terror during the era of their Third Reich. The museum includes outdoor and indoor exhibitions, as well as a library, documenting and exploring this time in history. On the grounds of the museum stands a section of the Berlin Wall which was never demolished, adding an important reminder of the past and sense of history to the site. Visitors can explore the open air exhibits and view the findings from the excavated basement walls, which contain stories and histories of the political prisoners held and tortured there. Inside the structure, designed by Ursula Wilms, are 800 square metres of space to explore Berry and World War II, while the seminar centre, library and memorial department offer even more sources of information.
